Breckenridge Stables is the only in-town horseback riding outfitter, operating from mid-May through early October. Their 90-minute trail rides wind between Peaks 9 and 10, offering river crossings, beaver ponds, and sweeping views of the Ten Mile Range and Continental Divide. With over 100 horses, experienced wranglers carefully match each rider to a horse based on ability and age, making this a fantastic activity for families and groups of all experience levels.

Choose from 1-, 2-, or 3-hour trail rides, authentic cattle drives, or the all-day Saddle and Paddle package. Unlike typical “nose-to-tail” rides, Rusty Spurr allows for off-trail exploration wherever the terrain permits.
