SKI COUNTRY POLICIES
Is a deposit required and when do I need to pay?
A 25% Deposit is required at time of booking. For all stays outside of our designated 'Holiday Season' the final payment will be collected 45 days prior to arrival. For all stays within our designated 'Holiday Season' the final payment will be collected 60 days prior to arrival. (2018/2019 Holiday Dates : 12/23/2018 - 1/2/2019)
Your final payment will be automatically charged to the method of payment we have on file. We will send an automatic email reminder 6 days prior to your final payment date as well as a final reminder 3 days prior to payment that allows for any changes to your payment method. Any date and/or unit changes must be made prior to final payment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 45 days or more prior to arrival (60+ days for 'Holiday Season' bookings) are eligible for full refund minus a $100 handling fee. On some occasions, as a courtesy to our guests, we may be able to refund part of your rental fee; however, this is only if we are able to re-book the dates that you have canceled and is on a case by case basis. (2018/2019 Holiday Dates : 12/23/2018 - 1/2/2019)
We strongly suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect your vacation investment and to cover any unforeseen circumstances such as sickness, injury or trip delay. Travel insurance is your best option to protect your vacation rental investment. Travel insurance can be purchased up to 24 hours prior to arrival.
Do you require a security deposit?
Credit Card information is requested at check in for all reservations in case of the following : unit damage, property loss, failure to comply with pet/smoking/occupancy guidelines as well as telephone charges (please note that not all units managed by Ski Country Resorts provide phone and/or internet service). Ski Country Resorts is authorized to charge the provided credit card for any damages, property loss and/or excessive cleaning should the the property be left in poor condition upon departure. Ski Country will charge against the supplied credit card with prior written or telephone notification.
Do you allow pets?
Why do your costs look different than I see on outside websites?
Our website, www.skicountry.com, will always reflect the most accurate and best rates available for all of our properties. Many third party sites (including but not limited to AirBnB, VRBO, HomeAway) may not advertise our current specials and may charge an additional service fee up to 5% of the total rent. This service fee is not a fee instituted by Ski Country Resorts and may not be negotiable or refundable. To guarantee you are securing the best rate for your stay, we recommend that you always book directly with Ski Country Resorts. To ensure even more piece of mind, Ski Country Resorts offers a Lowest Rate Guarantee.
Do you offer transportation to and from the airport?

Is a car necessary during my visit?
Most of Ski Country's properties are within walking distance of historic Main Street and the Slopes. In addition, the majority of Breckenridge neighborhoods are serviced by the Free Ride Transportation System. Ski Country Resorts also offers a complimentary VIP Shuttle to all our guests available on an on-call, seasonal basis. (hours vary based on season)
If traveling outside of Breckenridge to any nearby Summit County towns, the Free Summit Stage is a convienent and reliable source of transportation. Or, recently, popular car hailing services such as Uber & Lyft have become available throughout Breckenridge & Summit County.
Do you have any recommended activities while visiting the area?

If you are planning on skiing/riding more than 4 days during your Breckenridge visit (or plan to make multiple visits) we highly recommend the purchase of a Season Pass. You may submit an advance reservation request online or enjoy this exclusive discount, available only to guests of Ski Country, the day of by simply showing your room key.
Can I receive packages at my Vacation Rental?
Should you be arranging any type of package delivery to our office, it is important that you are aware that there is no physical mail delivery (US POSTAL SERVICE) in Breckenridge. The only guarantee a package will be delivered is to use UPS or FedEx and ship directly to our office.

Do you provide any crib or pack & play rentals?
Unfortunately, due to liability issues, we can not personally provide crib or pack & play rentals. However, our friends at Mountain Tot offer quality, affordable name brand Baby Gear Rentals with door-to-door delivery to your vacation rental.

Is it true that most Breckenridge homes do not have Air Conditioning?
It may come as a surprise to some guests, but almost all vacation rentals in Breckenridge & Summit County do not have air conditioning. Although this may seem unthinkable in warm and humid climates at lower elevations, Breckenridge sits at 9,600 feet above sea level and has a very dry climate. Both of these characteristics make air conditioning irrelevant about 11 months out of the year. On average, the highest outside temperature in Breckenridge reaches about 78 degrees. Another benefit to Breckenridge's high elevation and lack of humidity is our scarcity of bugs, so feel free to open the windows and let the fresh, cool mountain air in! (In addition, all units are equipped with portable fans for use as needed)

Where do I pick up keys?
Our check-in/check-out location is convienently located in Downtown Breckenridge at 213 North Main Street, Breckenridge CO 80424. Here you will sign guest registration, receive keys to your rental and receive all necessary information for your specific unit.
In addition to a full service check in experience with knowlegeable and friendly staff ready to answer any questions you may have, our centrally located check in location offers several other benefits to you including close and convienent access to the Breckenridge Transportation Center and BreckConnect Gondola as well as a shared location with Christy Sports, offering guests a 20% VIP discount on all equipment rentals.
What time is Check in and Check out?
Can I request an earlier check in and/or later check out?
Due to the nature of the vacation rental industry, and so that we may properly prepare for each guest, we are unable to accommodate early Check in or late Check out requests. Should you have available time on your arrival/departure date, our knowledgeable staff is happy to recommend/book any of the exciting & unique activities that Breckenridge has to offer. Can you accommodate after hour check ins?
Should you be arriving after office hours, we do have a late arrival lock box. Please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements and receive full instruction.
Can I expect daily cleaning services?
Serviced condos and homes are a flexible and cost effective alternative to hotels. For this reason, daily housekeeping services are not a typical service that is provided on shorter stays. Your clean fee ensures that your rental is thoroughly cleaned and maintained prior to your arrival and covers the one-time set up of all linens and towels. We also provide a complimentary "starter kit" of different household items (listed below).
For stays a week (7+ nights) or longer, we do provide a complimentary mid-stay towel change and for stays longer than a week (8+ nights) a mid-stay clean will be provided with fresh linens and towels. At any point during your stay, should you find you need additional towels, simply stop by our office or give us a call. We are also happy to arrange additional services, for a monetary fee. Feel free to contact us to inquire.
What supplies will be provided for me?
An initial supply of toilet paper, Kleenex, dish detergent, soap, garbage bags, paper towels, salt, pepper & basic spices will be provided for you. There is a local grocery store for anything else you may need.
What are your parking procedures?
It is important that you are aware of Breckenridge’s limited available parking throughout town. We encourage you to know your unit’s designated parking allotment in advance and plan accordingly. Any number of vehicles over the amount allowed by the HOA will be required to park in paid overflow.
To help alleviate the need for multiple vehicles during your visit, Ski Country Resorts is happy to offer a complimentary VIP Shuttle with service to anywhere throughout town! This service is complimentary (although cash gratuity is greatly appreciated) and available to our guests on a seasonal, on-call basis. (hours vary based on season)
Please also not that, due to HOA Policies, vehicles are not to remain parked on location past 10am on day of check out (as displayed on parking permit) and violators may be subject to towing. Should you wish to hit the slopes, or simply explore Breckenridge a little more, the Gondola South Lot is conveniently located behind Ski Country offices and offers paid daily hourly parking at varying prices, depending on season.
