Breckenridge Nordic Center


Just five minutes from downtown, the Breckenridge Nordic Center is a family-owned and operated hub for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowcat tours. With over 40 kilometers of impeccably groomed trails nestled at the base of the Ten Mile Range, skiers of all abilities can explore peaceful forests, open meadows, and the beautiful Cucumber Gulch Nature Preserve. The center provides equipment rentals, expert fittings, lessons, and a welcoming lodge where you can warm up by the fire with hot cocoa or a signature cocktail.



Gold Run Nordic Center


Located at the Breckenridge Golf Club, the Gold Run Nordic Center features 27 kilometers of classic and skate ski trails, plus snowshoeing and fat biking options. This center is perfect for both beginners and experienced skiers, offering daily group and private lessons, on-site rentals, and a cozy lodge for après-ski relaxation. The Gold Run Nordic Center also hosts special events, including full moon tours and sleigh rides.



Trail Variety for Every Skier


  • Groomed Trails: Between the two Nordic centers, Breckenridge boasts over 50 kilometers (30 miles) of perfectly manicured trails, with set tracks for classic skiing and wide lanes for skate skiing.
  • Backcountry and Free Trails: For those seeking solitude, explore the expansive Breckenridge trail system or venture onto free groomed trails like the Rec Path (extending from the Breckenridge Rec Center to the Frisco Adventure Park) and the historic Golden Horseshoe area. Popular routes include Little French Gulch Trail and Boreas Pass Road, both offering gentle climbs, scenic forests, and glimpses of Breckenridge’s mining past.
  • All Abilities Welcome: From gentle beginner loops like Silver Star Trail to more challenging terrain on the Gold Run loop, there’s a trail for every skill level.


Easy Rentals and Lessons


Both Nordic centers offer high-quality ski and snowshoe rentals for all ages, with expert staff ensuring a perfect fit. You can easily rent gear, pick up your trail pass, and step directly onto the snow-no need to haul equipment around town. Lessons are available for all levels, and you can even try skate skiing or switch between skis and snowshoes during your visit.



Après-Ski and Amenities


After your ski, relax in the inviting lodges at either Nordic center. Enjoy hot drinks, homemade soups, and mountain views by the fire. Both centers are known for their friendly, award-winning staff and welcoming atmosphere.
