Description
This is a luxurious ski-in/Gondola-out 2-bedroom condominium unit located in the heart of Breckenridge at the highly sought-after Mountain Thunder Lodge resort. The elegant complex offers an authentic mountain taste and excellent walking proximity to historic Main Street and the Gondola. At the end of the day, you can ski home off the Lower Four O'Clock / Gondola Skyway Ski Back trail.
With new floors, cabinets, and quartz counters, this 1025-square-foot condo with a private wrap-around deck is one of the largest units at the resort and only shares one wall with the adjacent unit. Like the resort lobby, our unit features beautiful rustic stonework and wood throughout. It is topped off with quartz in the kitchen. The condo's kitchen comes fully stocked with all of the plateware, utensils, and mixing bowls that you will need to make your stay comfortable; yes, we even have a coffee pot. The kitchen opens up directly into the roomy dining and living areas. From here, guests can enjoy the large flat-screen TV and great views from the private deck, all without leaving the comfort of the unit's gas fireplace.
Mountain Thunder Lodge has superb amenities: The grand lobby features a spacious seating area decorated with log accents, slate floors, plush furniture, and a gorgeous fireplace. The resort offers entry to a heated outdoor pool and hot tub area with a gas grill and children's play area. Additionally, guests have immediate access to a fitness center, complimentary shuttle services, and other terrific conveniences. Guests also have a personal ski locker at the corner of the elevator bank on the first floor. Guests may also access the amenities at One Ski Hill Place, a sister property, which features a movie lounge, a two-lane bowling alley, a spa, and two indoor pools. There are communal, coin-operated laundry facilities down the hall from the condo.
There are two big and well-appointed bedrooms in this unit. The master bedroom features a king bed, a flat-screen TV, and an updated en suite full bathroom. The master spa includes a double vanity, soaking tub, separate shower, and stonework. In the guest bedroom, you will find a queen bed and a third flat-screen TV. The updated guest bathroom is right across the hall from the guest room, and extra sleeping space can be created by utilizing the unit's queen sleeper sofa. Vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms and large windows make this unit bright and open.
In the winter, guests can enjoy access to skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and more! In the summer, guests can go swimming, biking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, white water rafting, mountain biking, or just relax on the unit's deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery and crisp air.

Water Sensors: This unit is equipped with Govee Water Sensors in all areas where water leakage is possible. The sensors are approximately 3.5” x 2.0” x 1.0”. If they come in contact with water a loud alarm will be emitted. If a sensor is triggered SCVR will be notified. The location of the leak will be known but not the cause. Please call SCVR immediately to advise of the source of the leak so timely corrective action can be taken if necessary. The sensors can be silenced utilizing the button located on the top of the sensor or by drying the metal tabs located on the bottom of the sensor. If the alarms are silenced it is still necessary to call SCVR. The Govee gateway is plugged in either in the hallway or behind the sofa. Please do not unplug the gateway. Doing so will not silence the alarms.

Great place with lots of space, and Flexibility for a ski location. Clean, modern and uncluttered.
Minor (very minor) thing to be aware of is that because this unit is managed outside the building / venue management company interactions with the front desk can be a challenge as they are supposed to refer you to Ski Colorado, even for simple things. Private corner unit with balcony. Overlooks 4 o’clock run. Gondola is 5min walk, then ski to the back of the building at end of day. Showers get very hot, which is great in the winter. Small hot tub onsite, we did not have a chance to use the many amenities located over a mile away at a sister building. Not as convenient if you wanted to take advantage of the amenities available, but not a deal breaker.- Posted: 3/9/2025

Great place. However, when you ski out, you will need to take a shuttle to the lifts. So not a true ski out, certainly can ski in. The shuttle service the place provides is very convenient.- Posted: 3/18/2021

This property was as described. My family and I enjoyed staying here for our ski vacation! The location is perfectly located in town. It is across the street from the BreckConnect Gondola and shuttles, two blocks from Main Street, and is at the end of the Gondola Ski Way to make it easy to ski in.
The property was clean when we we arrived. It also came with a full kitchen, which made it easy to prepare meals. The heated parking garage was also a great amenity.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was comfortable, clean and very conveniently located close to grocery store, downtown, and hiking trails.
The skillets provided were not good and some of the cooking utensils need to be updated (some smaller spatulas and needs a pitcher).

My girlfriends and I had a lovely getaway in Breckenridge at Ski Colorado’s rental! The place was exactly as listed and very clean. The views from the deck were beautiful and we enjoyed using the hot tub and heated pool. We were within walking distance to Main Street Breckenridge close to restaurants and shopping, but the condo had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners as well. Location is great. We walked to many places including restaurants, gondola and shops. Love the included underground, enclosed garage. Liked the amount of bedding, pillows, blankets provided. Love that master bath has shower and bath so you can use both or either. Bathroom sizes are great. Perfect views from windows and balcony. Just beautiful. Loved the gas fireplace on a time. We arrived early to pick up the key and they gave it to us and told us they would call us when unit was ready. They called us to say it was ready before check in time. We don't think you can beat this location anywhere in Breckenridge! Unless you're going to be driving around the county, we suggest guests get a ride up on a shuttle and take the free town bus around. Let us know how we can help you on your next trip to Breckenridge.

This location was very close to downtown Breckenridge (a few minutes on foot) and was the perfect place for my husband, my in-laws, and I to vacation in the summer! The pool and hot tubs were perfect for the sunny afternoons, and it is probably as close as you can get to the gondola. The place was clean and welcoming upon arrival, and the porch provides you with a perfect view of all the stars at night.
