Independence Day Celebration
Jul 04,2026Celebrate the Fourth of July in Breckenridge with a full lineup of races, festivities, and family-friendly fun happening throughout town.
Getting Around:
Main Street will close from French St. to Park Ave. beginning at 6:00am, with extended closures between Ski Hill Rd. and Adams Ave. lasting until 6:00pm. Streets will reopen once the parade concludes.
Event Highlights:
• 🏃 10K Trail Run – A scenic morning race that finishes ahead of the parade (advance registration recommended; often fills up)
• 🚲 Strider Bike Race – A kid-friendly ride for younger participants to kick off the day (pre-registration required)
• 🚴 Firecracker 50 – A 50-mile mountain bike race starting on Main Street and setting the pace for the parade
• 🎉 Independence Day Parade – A longtime Breckenridge tradition along Main Street
• 🎨 Breck Create Celebration – Enjoy live music, crafts, lawn games, and family activities in the Arts District
• 📜 Declaration Reading & Live Music – Head to Blue River Plaza for a public reading followed by a live performance
