At Ski Country Resorts we do offer Travel Insurance via our preferred partner, Generali Insurance. Although all travel insurance companies do have their limitations to what COVID-19 related cancellations they will cover, travel insurance is always a valuable asset to add to any vacation to help cover unforeseen events such as loss of job, illness, severe weather and more.
As of April 13, 2020 Generali's COVID-19 Disclaimer is outlined as such :
Coronavirus outbreak is considered a foreseeable event under any plans purchased on or after January 29, 2020. That means you could be covered if you are diagnosed with Coronavirus, but foreseeable events such as becoming quarantined due to the Coronavirus will not be covered. Please note, our plans will not cover fear of travel. In addition, some of our plans may exclude losses due to a pandemic (declared by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020). Customers are strongly encouraged to read their Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy for details regarding their available coverage.
Note : Generali Insurance does offer a "Free Look" period for their Travel Insurance plans, providing the buyer with time to review their policy and cancel for a free refund (within 10 days of purchase) should they decide.*
*Provided no claims have been filed and cancellation is prior to trip departure date.
