With blankets of fluffy snow and twinkly lights draped across all of the Victorian era style shops and restaurants that dot Main Street, as well as the towering aspen and pine trees scattered throughout downtown, it’s really no surprise at all that those who visit Breckenridge, Colorado often comment that it resembles the likes of a snow globe.

Lighting of Breckenridge & Race of the Santas

During the first weekend in December, many gather from near and far in Breckenridge to light the Town Tree and help give Breckenridge its notoriously noted ‘Christmas Town’ look & feel. First, join hundreds of Santa adorned participants (dogs included!) in the Race of the Santas and then cheer on the kiddos as they embark on their very own “Reindeer Race.” After, celebrate by watching on as the sparkly lights along Main Street are lit.
