Breckenridge 2020/2021 Late Season Operations

With several neighboring & surrounding Colorado Ski Areas having closed for the 2020/2021 Ski Season (or scheduled to close soon) the announcement that Breckenridge Ski Resort will remain open through Monday May 31st, 2021 (Memorial Day)* brings a lot of hype to the skiing and riding community.. And plenty of chances to squeeze in some Spring turns!

Thanks to its base elevation of 9,600 ft, Breck typically offers prime Spring snow conditions and brags one of the longest-running ski seasons of any major resort in the country, giving many the opportunity to get out on the snow and enjoy access to signature High Alpine terrain long past when the calendar dictates ‘Winter’ ends and ‘Spring’ begins.

For those interested in visting Breckenridge for some Spring skiing or riding, here are a few things to note :  Peak 8 will be the hub of all the late season action beginning Monday, April 19. The resort expects to offer approximately 1,000 acres of intermediate, advanced and expert level terrain off the Colorado and Rocky Mountain SuperChairs. In addition, T-Bar and Imperial Chair will be spinning & access to Imperial Bowl, Peak 7 Bowl, Horseshoe Bowl and Contest Bowl will be available as weather and conditions permit. This means there will be NO beginner terrain. Late season terrain is meant for intermediate-and-above level skiers and riders only.  The Gondola will be closed for the month of May, so plan to utilize resort and town buses to access Peak 8. Please bring your mask! While the weather is warmer and you may feel inclined to shed layers (go ahead and sport that T-shirt, bikini top or that pair of jorts!) please remember to keep your masks up.  Daily Hours of Operation : 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (High Alpine terrain and Upper Mountain Lifts, TBar and Imperial, will open/close on a different time schedule due to weather, snow conditions and patrol work. Please check the EpicMix app for lift status information.) On mountain dining to include Ski Hill Grill for grab-and-go options as well as indoor food court dining (reservations required).
