Make no mistake about it, here in Breckenridge we give our friend down in the Big Easy a run for their money! Our two-mile high festivities have become known for setting the bar for Mardi Gras in the mountains! Each year, Breckenridge is taken over by masks, beads, boas, music and festivity to commemorate the holiday.

Wake Up & Live | A Bob Marley Tribute
Wake Up And Live (Bob Marley Tribute) "Don't bury your thoughts; put your dream to reality!" Denver guitarist and vocalist Dave Halchak decided to put together a group of musicians to celebrate the music of Bob Marley, and pay tribute to the songs by creating some exciting jams, and throwing one fine party.
Save South Park
Come rock with four local bands and help Save South Park (savesouthparkco.org) raise money in a fight to prevent further destruction of our pristine environment by Discovery Channel’s “Gold Rush” and other irresponsible mining entities. See the truth behind “reality” TV. We will feature a short documentary by local filmmaker/activist Todd Anders Johnson. We will present speakers and provide musical entertainment by Salem, Split Window, Sweet Alma Soul Sisters, and Gladyys Kravitzz. There will be food, drinks, and a silent auction.

Second Saturday's For Families : Yarn Ornaments
Join us on the second Saturday of each month from 10am to 12pm for free, hands-on kids’ activities and creative crafts on the Arts District campus. Children of all ages welcome with parent or guardian present. This drop-in workshop is first-come, first-served; register online to reserve your spot. Materials are provided and participants will be able to take their projects home.
Canvas Painting Party - 'Valentines Skiers'
Bring your loved one for a fun and creative night out together. Follow step-by-step with local artist Nancy Branca to recreate our Valentine Skiers, leaving their heart in the snow. With a glass of wine in hand, great music and lots of help, enjoy a great date night and leave with a painting to be proud of!
Reoccurring February Art Classes
The Ice Castles are a must-see spectacle, these castles made entirely of frozen walkways, tunnels, towers and archways are an Instagram shot you don't want to miss! Standing at 15-25 feet tall, the Ice Castles are open both day and night, so that visitors can witness the blue ice formations in natural light and later light up with white and colored lights that change to illuminate beneath the night sky.
NOISE: Closing Sound Performance
Embark on a deeper interactive experience of the NOISE exhibition with artist Jordan Knecht in a curated series of sound performances, each featuring different sets of artists and musicians, followed by an intimate Q&A. This activity is part of NOISE, an exhibition on sound and silence, Dec 1–Feb 25, 2018.

Super Bowl LII Party!
Who's ready for a little Super Bowl action? Philadelphia Eagles vs. New England Patriots. For the big event, Kenosha will be opening up their infamous “Up Bar” at 4pm on Sunday, February 4! Reservations currently being accepted. You must show up in person to pick your table! If you are not seated by 4:45pm, your table will be given away… Coors Light & other specials during the game.

Burke & Riley’s Irish Pub – Located on the south end of town, on the rooftop of La Cima Mall, Burke & Riley’s is a sports lovers mecca. Warm up around the outdoor firepit and then warm up inside with Irish Car Bombs and the game playing on all speakers.
Downstairs at Eric’s – The clear winner for “Best Family Friendly Sports Bar in Breck,” dad can enjoy the game and the brews with 29 flat screen TVs and 30 beers on tap, and the kids can enjoy a full size arcade with more than 20 games.
Fatty’s Pizzeria – Historic building and a historically rowdy football crew. Belly up to the bar and join the fun with long-time locals and visitors alike. Luigi’s Sports Bar & Pizzeria – One of Breck’s newest sports bars. Catch the big game, awesome pizza, and sample their signature Stadium Cocktails (like “Hawaiian Punch,” a rum concoction called “Island Dream,” or Hard Lemonades available in 10 different flavors).
Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub – Grab a seat in this massive venue (and our favorite spot in Breck for a pint of Guinness) and watch the game or big fight on the huge screens. Outdoor firepit, pool tables, darts, arcade games, and a great crew behind the bar make this one the best sports viewing spots in town. Located upstairs from Salt Creek Steakhouse.
Northside Pizza – Small, local hangout featuring everything from cheap PBRs to high-end craft beers, and some of the best wings in Breck! Ollie’s Pub and Grub – Belly up to one of Breck’s biggest bars, with a huge tap selection, daily drink specials, and big portions of your favorite gametime grub.
The Motherloaded Tavern – Head over to “Momma’s” for plenty of seats for you and your friends, homecooked dishes, housemade infused cocktails, and cheap drafts.

What better way to start working on that New Year’s resolution of living life to the fullest than spending New Year's Eve in Breckenridge? Known as laid-back & friendly, Breckenridge is the perfect place to ring in the New Year! Whether you're looking for fireworks, dancing, romance or a midnight kiss with a stranger you’ve come to the right place! Here's your 2017 guide to starting off 2018 in the most enjoyable way possible!
► Glow Worm Parade | 5.45p | Peak 9 Breckenridge
What could be better for the kiddos than the chance to be in a parade?? How about a parade on SKIS, at NIGHT with GLOWSTICKS!? Enter, the Glow Worm Parade. All confident ski & riders ages 5-13 are welcome to participate in this one of a kind, annual New Years Eve event in Breckenridge. Watch as these little powder hounds, donning glowsticks while careening down green terrain on Peak 9, give off the appearance of a New Year’s glow warm.
Registration for the parade starts at 5 pm and is located at the Beaver Run Ski and Ride School. Parade starts at 5.45p immediately followed by the Torchlight Parade at 6p. Glow Worm participants must be able to stop and turn on green terrain. Weather permitting.

A long-standing tradition in Breckenridge, watch as the pros of the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School take the hill and carry torches from the top of Peak 9 down to the base area. The red glow flowing down the mountain is truly a sight to see. Although visible from almost anywhere in town, we recommend grabbing a warm cocktail on the expansive decks of either the Maggie or Coppertop Bar for optimal viewing. Weather permitting.
► Fireworks | 9pm
Later in the evening enjoy an electrifying display of fireworks against our beautiful Rocky Mountain backdrop, worthy of ooohs and ahhhs. On a clear night, this colorful show can be seen from pretty much anywhere in Downtown Breckenridge but for the best views in town make your way to the Riverwalk Center in Downtown Breckenridge. Skiing/Riding : Believe it or not, this is arguably one of the best days of the year to catch first chair and early morning tracks. Due to the nature of most New Year’s Eve celebrations, the mountain remains fairly quiet the morning of January 1st.

A Word From Ski Country : At Ski Country, we never encourage drinking and driving! Which is why we offer our unique and personalized Shuttle Service to all guests (extended hours on New Year Eve). We encourage all guests to utilize this free service (tips appreciated) when staying with Ski Country Resorts. Although we do try our best to maintain a prompt & reliable service, during busy times & holidays our service may be a bit delayed. Other options available are Uber (recently debuted in Breckenridge) as well as the local free bus (oftentimes the most reliable source of transportation – other than your own two feet).
