► Glow Worm Parade | 5.45p | Peak 9 Breckenridge
What could be better for the kiddos than the chance to be in a parade?? How about a parade on SKIS, at NIGHT with GLOWSTICKS!? Enter, the Glow Worm Parade. All confident ski & riders ages 5-13 are welcome to participate in this one of a kind, annual New Years Eve event in Breckenridge. Watch as these little powder hounds, donning glowsticks while careening down green terrain on Peak 9, give off the appearance of a New Year’s glow warm.

Registration for the parade starts at 5 pm and is located at the Beaver Run Ski and Ride School. Parade starts at 5.45p immediately followed by the Torchlight Parade at 6p. Glow Worm participants must be able to stop and turn on green terrain. Weather permitting.

► Torchlight Parade | 6 pm | Peak 9 Breckenridge
A long-standing tradition in Breckenridge, watch as the pros of the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School take the hill and carry torches from the top of Peak 9 down to the base area. The red glow flowing down the mountain is truly a sight to see. Although visible from almost anywhere in town, we recommend grabbing a warm cocktail on the expansive decks of either the Maggie or Coppertop Bar for optimal viewing. Weather permitting.

► Fireworks |  9pm
Later in the evening enjoy an electrifying display of fireworks against our beautiful Rocky Mountain backdrop, worthy of ooohs and ahhhs. On a clear night, this colorful show can be seen from pretty much anywhere in Downtown Breckenridge but for the best views in town make your way to the Riverwalk Center in Downtown Breckenridge. New Years Day

Skiing/Riding : Believe it or not, this is arguably one of the best days of the year to catch first chair and early morning tracks. Due to the nature of most New Year’s Eve celebrations, the mountain remains fairly quiet the morning of January 1st.

Resolution Run : Ready to kick start that New Year’s Resolution? This 5k snow run (or snowshoe) is a great way to start the new year off on the right foot followed by a post-race party, finisher gifts and prizes round out the event.  Click Here for registration and details.

A Word From Ski Country : At Ski Country, we never encourage drinking and driving! Which is why we offer our unique and personalized Shuttle Service to all guests (extended hours on New Year Eve). We encourage all guests to utilize this free service (tips appreciated) when staying with Ski Country Resorts. Although we do try our best to maintain a prompt & reliable service, during busy times & holidays our service may be a bit delayed. Other options available are Uber (recently debuted in Breckenridge) as well as the local free bus (oftentimes the most reliable source of transportation – other than your own two feet). On New Years Eve The Breckenridge Free Ride offers special late-night service (until 2:15 a.m.)
