Rock Climbing
Experience the adventure of rock climbing during your next Breckenridge vacation. Summit County is home to a wide array of climbing. Whether you are new to the sport or enjoy climbing 5.14 there is something for everyone in and around Breckenridge. Between Frisco and Copper Mountain you'll find Ten Mile Canyon. Alternatively check out Swan Mountain, one of the most popular climbing locations in the area. Looking to travel further from Breckenridge? Check out the Buena Vista Crags. This climbing area is home to a combination of bolted face climbing and trad climbing cracks.

Rocky Mountaineering Guides – Join RMG for top notch rock climbing instruction. Safety is the number one focus and RMG caters to climbers of all levels. Located in Dillon, Colorado, Rocky Mountaineering Guides offers basic rock climbing courses along with intermediate. If you are interested in combining hiking and climbing, try one of their mountaineering programs.
The Adventure Company – Offers a variety of climbing trips for beginners to advanced climbers. Trips include a guide and your gear. ½ day and full day climbs available.
Paragon Guides – Join Paragon Guides out of Vail for a rock climbing adventure. Offering day trips, custom climbs and two day workshops. Professional guides will help improve your climbing at any level.

Breckenridge Recreation Center – Located on Airport Road, the Breckenridge Recreation Center has an extensive climbing gym. With areas specifically designed for children and others overhanging for more experienced climbing, there are many options. The Center offers instructional classes, free climb times and competitions. You'll need to be belay certified to climb without a guide. Shoe, harness, chalk bags and belay device rentals available.
