Celebrate Independence Day in Breckenridge!

Each year Breckenridge marks the 4th of July with a Rocky Mountain Flair and spirit of adventure. Entertainment, exciting activities, fantastic weather and loads of fun pack the holiday weekend with something for everyone. Breck’s celebration includes the vibrant Fourth of July Parade on historic Main Street, July Arts Festival, 10K trail run, bike race, live music, kids’ activities and so much more. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert at the Riverwalk Center with an extraordinary fireworks display to follow (weather permitting). July 4th, Monday – INDEPENDENCE DAY

   Breckenridge Independence Day 10K Trail Run
This scenic 10k trail running race offers up some of the best views in the Breckenridge area, while finishing just in time to catch the Main Street parade and other festivities.

   Fourth of July Garden Party
Enjoy coffee, mimosas, and a breakfast spread on the Barney Ford House Lawn and watch the Independence Day Parade from the best seats on Main Street, while supporting the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance. Reservations strongly recommended.

   The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race
This mountain bike race launches the 4th of July Parade in front of thousands of spectators. Come cheer on riders as they embark on a 50 mile journey on the beautiful trails in and surrounding the Breckenridge area. Register early as this race fills up very quickly.

   Main Street Parade
Painting the town red, white and blue, the wildly popular Breckenridge Fourth of July Parade starts on North Main Street and winds its way through town to the South. Following the parade there will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence by George Washington (C.J. Mueller) at the Blue River Plaza.

   Kids’ Water Fights
Kids’ can join the Red, White & Blue Fire Dept. in an old time water fight on Main Street. This is a long time Breckenridge tradition and it is free for kids to participate. A hit every year!

   Free 2pm Concert at the Riverwalk Center
There will be a great band this year, but the town is not allowed to announce it until June 8th due to contractual reasons. But remember that the Town of Breckenridge in past years has brought free 4th of July concerts featuring the Blind Boys of Alabama, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Rusted Root and many other great acts so we anticipate another great show.

   National Repertory Orchestra: 4th of July Patriotic Concert
For nearly it’s 20th year the Town of Breckenridge and NRO have collaborated to present a Patriotic Concert for July 4th at the Riverwalk Center in Breck.

  • Cost: Inside Seating for $5/$10/$15 – Can be purchased online or at the door.
    Or, Free Lawn Seating (please no dogs or other pets on the Riverwalk Center Lawn or in the Riverwalk Center). First Come First Serve.

   Fireworks (weather permitting)
Fireworks will be set off from the Gondola Lot and will be visible from all over town.

Saturday, July 2nd – Monday, July 4th: 33rd Annual July Arts Festival
The 33rd Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival is annually ranked one of the top art shows in the United States. Located at Main Street Station at the corner of South Main Street and South Park Avenue. Please click here for more information. Admission is free.
