Come celebrate the 4th of July in Breckenridge. The Main Street Parade is a hit!

Celebrate Independence Day in Breckenridge! July 1 – 4, 2011 
Each year Breckenridge marks the 4th of July with a Rocky Mountain Flair and spirit of adventure. Entertainment, exciting activities, fantastic weather and loads of fun pack the holiday weekend with something for everyone. Breck’s celebration includes the vibrant Fourth of July Parade on historic Main Street, July Arts Festival, 10K trail run, bike race, live music, kids' activities and so much more. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert at the Riverwalk Center with an extraordinary fireworks display to follow (weather permitting). July 1, Friday
Picasso’s 3 Musicians
Study the art of cubist painter Pablo Picasso and create a work of art featuring three musicians, their instruments and a hidden animal.

Blue River Series Concert: Preservation Hall Jazz Band
Named after the venerable music venue located in the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter, the band has traveled the world to share and nurture the art form of New Orleans Jazz since its founding nearly forty years ago. 
Where:  Riverwalk Center.

Main Street Parade
Painting the town red, white and blue, the wildly popular Breckenridge Fourth of July Parade starts on North Main Street and winds its way through town to the South.

Breckenridge Independence Day 10K Trail Run
This scenic 10k trail running race offers up some of the best views in the Breckenridge area, while finishing just in time to catch the Main Street parade and other festivities.

The Firecracker 50, USA Cycling Marathon Mountain Bike National Champions
The race launches the 4th of July Parade in front of thousands of spectators. 12 National Champions will be crowned and there are also categories for Sports, Beginners, and 2-person teams.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s irresistible live show and aggressive, musically perceptive approach has proven them over time to be the singular standout among the numerous bands that launched the Nineties swing revival. This seven-man group forged a massively successful fusion of classical American sounds from jazz, swing, Dixieland and big-band music.
